The building was purchased in 2010 by Katherine and David Gammino, and after a two-year renovation, the couple opened this incredible, unique establishment. The hotel is decorated with a minimalist design, both welcoming and comfortable. The hotel's attached café, The Almeta, offers everything from a hot cup of coffee to a variety of delicious breakfast options.⁠

Because Hotel Cape Charles is smaller than most hotels, the staff has a greater opportunity to engage with guests and form lasting bonds. It’s even more special when guests return year after year and see the same welcoming faces, knowing they’re in good hands. As ambassadors for the Eastern Shore, the staff guarantees an amazing vacation experience, recommending the best local eateries and activities. While welcoming visitors from beyond our little town, Hotel Cape Charles is also deeply involved in the community. Over the years, it has donated around $50,000 to charity, with most of those funds supporting local organizations on the Eastern Shore!⁠
